FOR MEETING PLANNERS

Organizing an event takes a tremendous amount of work, patience, and far too many emails asking people to send you the thing you already told them to send you. This page is meant to provide everything you need from Andrew to help the event go off without a hitch. Still missing something? Email us.

His TEDx talk on the skill of humor has been viewed more than seven million times, only half of which were his mother. He loves chocolate and tweeting puns.

INTRODUCTION

“Our next speaker is the world’s first Humor Engineer teaching people how to get better results while having more fun.

Combining his background as a project manager at Procter & Gamble with his experience as a stand-up comedian, he reverse engineers the skill of humor in a way that is practical, actionable, and gets results in the workplace.

He has worked with more than 250 organizations, including Microsoft, the FBI, and the International Association of Canine Professionals.

He is a best-selling author, has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and FastCompany, and was named a ‘Visionary Under 40’ by the P&G Alumni Network.

His TEDx talk on the skill of humor has been viewed more than seven million times, only half of which were his mother. He loves chocolate and tweeting puns.

Please join me in welcoming, Andrew Tarvin.”

A/V REQUIREMENTS

Andrew’s programs are engaging, entertaining, and effective. To support his message, there are a few requests he makes regarding A/V.

Andrew uses PowerPoint to help deliver his message. Don’t worry, they aren’t slides full of text or hard-to-read charts, instead he uses images, gifs, and (on occasion) video, to create a visual experience for the audience.

He does, however, use a lot of slides. One program has 87 slides for a 60-minute talk. Yes, he knows that’s a lot, but he goes through them quickly.

As such, it’s helpful for Andrew to have a confidence monitor so he knows what the audience is seeing (without looking behind him). If there is no confidence monitor, presenting from a laptop on stage is preferred.

For audio, Andrew prefers a wireless, lavalier microphone.
